 We are Christians only, but we're not the only Christians. We are the result of a movement to return Christ's church to its original state and purpose. After hundreds of years of the corruption of doctrines of men dividing churches of Christ into denominations, we desire to see the church restored to it's roots. We are looking to put Christ where He belongs...He is the Cornerstone. We have no other creeds or doctrines. The Christian churches/churches of Christ or as we are also called the Indepedent Christian church's belief system is based on the foundation that Christ laid through His Apostles and Prophets. The Bible alone is the reed by which we measure our lives. Where scriptures are clear, our position is clear. Where the Bible is silent, we profess our liberty. We give a lot of credit to two men from the history of our particular branch of Christians in feeding the fire of the restoration that is sometimes called 'The Stone-Campbell Movement'. However all glory is given to God and these men were two individuals who did what The Bible tells us we ALL should be doing- giving ourselves as an offering, which is our reasonable service. Our congregation is made up of people from all different denominational backgrounds. We strive to promote a loving environment where all members and future members feel that they are being looked upon through the eyes of Christ Himself. We endeavor to build up people and empower them to learn for themselves under the authority given to our church leadership by reading everything Paul has said concerning the governing of a local body of Christ- to teach, feed and lead them to an understanding of their own calling and Spiritual Gifts. in essence, to help them on their journey and make straight the paths that God has created for them. Central Christian Church is dedicated to bringing Christ to our community and teaching its members not to master the Bible, but to let The Bible master us. We would love for you to join us!
