Leadership

Our Elders:   Dr. Ken Oosting, Dennis Satterfield, Ray Corey, and Ken Belsky.   Leadership... In the Bible, as Apostles went from town to town setting up churches, they left certain men in charge in their absence. And now that all of the Apostles are dead we believe the model for the local church is the one like Paul and Timothy... Paul told Timothy to choose elders to lead, advise and shepherd the flock of Christ. These men are no more perfect or holy than any of us. But they are men of experience and understanding-wisdom. More importantly though, they are men who we believe are endowed with Spiritual gifts- given to them by the Holy Spirit that lives in each and every one who believes. And they are men who know the Bible. They are men that we have elected through prayer and wisdom and much effort goes in choosing the men that we feel that God has ordained and gifted. It is our desire that you come to the elders with any concerns or complaints. Any questions about how to be more Christ-like can be answered by the elders. Financial advice or assistance can be received through them as well, and anything that they don't know the answer to, they can help you find it somewhere else. That is what they are here for. Especially if you are new to the church or not yet a member. Doing God's work is a busy and time-consuming full time task. Sometimes people visit a couple times and only a couple people say 'hi'. We try our best to reach out to everyone. But if you have a need or a question, we ask that you seek out any one of these men and they will do their best to make sure that you are taken care of. Use this portion of the website to seek them out in confidentiality, or to get to know them better. They will be overjoyed to help you out in any way that they can.

Deacons and servant-leaders... Curt Gross, Doug Anderson, Steve Smith, Steve Atherton, Frankie Hancock, Celestino Rodas, Sam Stephenson, Dean Lindsey, Orville Lindsey, and Bob Street.  In Acts chapter 6, we see that there were certain things in the church that needed to be done, but that the work of the Apostles was too important for them to leave the leading of the church to do the work. So it is in the church today.  Deacons are here for the tasks that the elders just wouldn't have time to do and still be able to keep up with taking care of the church members. We can't have elders teaching all the classes and changing all the light bulbs and keeping the yard mowed, etc. There just aren't enough hours in the day. So we have elected a body of men through prayer and wisdom to manage the everyday sustenance of the church.
